Love the effing cover!!! Jeremy he's a good brother, "Maggie, there is no effing way you're staying here in New York, let alone working in a goddamned strip joint." Luke after years you can tell her still hardcore for his girl, "I stayed up the rest of the night planning my mode of attack to win her back, worrying she might leave, or worse, stay with Max, and I'd never get my girl again." He's real persistent as well, "go ahead, baby. Keep running, but I'll never change my mind about you. It's a waste of time to try. Cause this isn't over." I loved this book losing your first love, finding it again, going through s*** to get back to where you were it's like a fairytale!

Stay edition by Kelly Mooney Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The author did a very good job with the book. It was beautiful. A real page turner. I enjoyed it and could not put it downl

However I feel it was a bit rushed. The book was 182 pages and could've been longer with this type of topic.

You felt for the characters and I loved Luke. Felt I want to take him under my wing and comfort him.

All in all buy the book you will not regret it it was a beautiful story. Looking forward to more books from this author.
I really enjoyed this book. Maggie is dealing with so many things in her life. She does what she feels she has to do but unfortunately she does them without thinking about the ones closest to her. Luke...he really makes the story. You can't help but love him. Maggie has so many people in her life that wants to help her but she just needs to trust them more. I must say that I do feel bad for Max but his role played out. This is a great and ease read that I would recommend to others.
I liked how the book started out....I liked how she was trying to make it on her own..it seemed real. HOWEVER....it completely fell part around the middle and I couldn't finish it fast enough. There were so many "big reveals" that I found myself NOT caring about Luke or Maggie or anyone else. The only real character was Max...hopefully he will get his own ARC. The writing style was good and I enjoyed the author's voice and words. I am trying to leave the review as spoiler free as possible but between Luke and his constant whining my head hurt.
So i was really reluctant to read 'Stay', but I'm actually quite glad I did. The story line was really touching, and the point of views it was written in really make you feel the heartbreak and longing of all the characters. It's definitely one of the better stories i've read in a while.
In saying this however, there are a few negatives. The beginning chapters are really rushed and could have been explained better, with some dialogue and what not. The same feelings and scenarios keep getting blurted out it got a little tiresome to to read. And the characters progression was few and far between, even though Luke had in a chapter, explained the different between the 'old' him and the 'new' him, the progression through the story between both him and Cassie wasn't really that great. Also in the end, when you finally think everything is out, someone else gets revealed. Not in a progressive sort of way either, just a 'hey' everything is really shit in life oh and i've got something else to tell you. It made the situations the characters were in really blah.
Despite these negative though, the book is actually well written with few grammar and syntax errors. The characters are easy to love and sympathise for. You definitely get caught up in the love triangle in it, even though you know who you want the main character to end with.
Overall, 'Stay' is one of the better stories i've read and paid for, and am thoroughly happy that i bought it. Highly recommended if you want something a little different.
I enjoyed reading this story. It kept my interest; I read it in one sitting. The two main characters Maggie and Luke, had a lot of chemistry and the story flowed well. I wish they were not with OP during their separation but I appreciate that the author had them both be with OP as opposed to him, which would be the stereotypical thing to do. Sure, Maggie slept with just one other person, Max (who I really liked) and Luke became a manhoe, sleeping with a bunch, but still, at least she was not abstaining. If she had, I would have not liked the book, it would be that much of a turn off for me. I noticed some minor grammar mistakes but otherwise it was a good book.
I just finished this book no longer than maybe 30 minutes ago, what an emotional story of family and friends. Written from both Maggie's and Luke's POV. Maggie has a twin brother, who is best friends with Luke, but Maggie as well. These two have always know they loved eachother and knew they could always count on one another. But Maggie hides a couple of deep secrets one from her brother and the other from Luke. Then one night Maggie took off leaving each a note one explaining to luke about the secret she is keeping from her twin, Jeremy and another to Jeremy saying she needed to go. What happens after almost 2 years of Maggie's disappearance, when Jeremy, Luke and Dean (the third bff) find Maggie in a strip club. Everything comes out.
This was a really good book. Maggie Collins has had a rough life growing up while her twin brother has sailed right through. The people that are supposed to love us and take care of us sometimes can be the ones to destroy our lives. One thing she had though was the love of Jeremy (her twin brother), Luke and Dean. Luke loves Maggie with everything he has. Maggie walks away from those she loves and that love her one night. She has secrets and past hurts she couldn't get away from. When Maggie disappeared she took Luke's heart with her and really hurt her brother. One night almost 2 years later, Luke and Dean find her in a strip joint working. She works as a cocktail waitress. Luke lost his heart when she left him and then his family are killed by a driver that is high and going the wrong way. This book really showed how terrible things and our choices can affect others.
Love the effing cover!!! Jeremy he's a good brother, "Maggie, there is no effing way you're staying here in New York, let alone working in a goddamned strip joint." Luke after years you can tell her still hardcore for his girl, "I stayed up the rest of the night planning my mode of attack to win her back, worrying she might leave, or worse, stay with Max, and I'd never get my girl again."
