Ghost Stories (Audible Audio Edition) Ron Ripley Jack Nolan ScareStreetcom Books

It is always so difficult to do a book review. Many individuals understand stories in different ways with different meanings. However, I'll try my best to review this book of ghost stories for you. I'm fairly new to the Ron Ripley Stories. After reading one of his previous books; I decided to purchase a couple more. This novel of ScareStreet Horror Stories is not necessarily scary. It's more on the entertaining aspect of ghost stories. The imagery in this book is excellent. I can feel the vibe of the old England town, I can visualize the decrepit mansions/buildings that were described through out the book, and I can sense the mood of each individual character as I went from story to story. My favorite story was the last one titled "The Ghost Hunters". It was a mixture of paranormal laced with creepiness. The other stories were pleasant to read however, they did not bring the fear factor for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this entertaining book of short stories. It was engaging and I look forward to purchasing more of this series. A great novel to read on a cloudy rainy day. The only con I could see regarding this novel were some grammatical errors. However, it was not enough to take away from the book.

Ghost Stories Scary Ghosts & Paranormal Horror Short Stories Anthology

A great collection of ghost stories. From Ghost, paranormal, everything scary (horror) a true spooky delight.
I highly recommend to those who love ghost stories.
Like any short story collection theres bound to be a mixed bag but I just couldn't get through a lot of the stories in here. I listened to the audio book so maybe that was it. I'm not not-recommending it though... horror is very subjective. So what didn't scare me might scare you!
I chose this story because this type of topic is kind of interesting; everyone has their own thoughts, I for one don't think ghosts/spirits exist, at least not in the sense this story and other stories/books portray them to be. However, I won't 100% rule out the possibility either. Though this story kept my attention, it's one job I would pass up - it doesn't me that much; besides, I don't like to meddle in such things. Am I scared? No, it just simply doesn't appeal to me.
The first story in this book caught my attention and was very intriguing to say the least. But what really caught my attention was that all the stories tie into a single place, making the location the stories are based out if to be the most haunted town. I really enjoyed how all the short stories were linked like that. The authors did an awesome job tying the stories together the way they did.
I loved listening to ghost stories as a kid. The older I got the scarier I wanted them to be. This book was awesomely scary. There are eight tales in the book. Usually I can pick out my favorite story and my least favorite. This time, though, I can't choose a favorite and I have no least favorite. All of the stories are creepy. They each turn into heart pounding, heavy breathing, scream stuck in the throat, terror. There aren't any truly gory scenes. These are the type of stories that engage the mind. You are in the moment with the characters. They hear creaking and you look around. In the words of Alice Cooper, "Welcome to my nightmare. I think you're going to like it."
Since these are short stories, it's hard to summarise them without spoiling something, so all I'll say is that this is 8 chilling and creepy tales. I've read a lot of Ron Ripley's books and always enjoyed them, and these are no different. Each is a little slice of creepy and scary and each is well written. Being short stories, there isn't much character development nor world building, but they are enjoyable little snippets into the authors mind. Good tales to tell around a camp fire!! )

Jack Nolan did a good job with the narration, his voice is easy to listen to and is clear, but I found the production quality to be a bit echoey. It felt like he was talking in a big empty room.

*I received this as a gift, but voluntarily reviewed it. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.*
Another great book. This one are little stories with some twists. Yes, they're Ghosts (never go out without one).

In a little comparation, from other Ripley's books...these had Ghosts Galore, Shapeshifter and all of them are angry, mad, want vengeance, hate living things, feed, destroy and is one very deeply disturb people.

Do I like it? Heck Yeah🙀😻💕. Every little story more macabre, twisted, scary...

All characters without too much description (some do), let the reader know how Ripley's is mastered and mix different genres.

All so well written, even the tiniest story. I really recommend to every fan of Ripley's and good readings with ghosts, mystery, ect..not to let this book pass by, to buy and enjoy a few hours 🙀

I support Indie authors, they make an interesting twist on writing. The Publishers Houses had to be following more of them because they're are writing incredible stories.

I'm very honest with my Reviews, not only for me, the author or other readers, how an author know when did something good or need improvement?

How another reader believe in my review? If I didn't read the book, I don't Review. If the book is good, Review. If the book isn't good, Review.

With that we all benefit, readers, authors & readers searching for something new or special.

My opinions are my own. You can find me at under MASTERI
