This book was perfect escapism! It's a fantasy we've all had and to read it in a book makes it even better. Darcy is a curvy bartender and into her bar comes in this rock star. She's believably insecure and self-conscious but it turns out she has no reason to be because Gage the dreamy rock star is in fact quite into her. I don't want to ruin the story with spoilers but let's just say that the sex was really thrilling and the story struck the right balance between erotica and romance.Product details

This was a decent book, but not good enough to make me want to read the entire series. The main character was confident, unless she compared herself to her BF that worked at the bar with her. The fact that she had a 1-night stand that ended up turning into something more wasn't very believable, but a nice idea to escape to. Maybe if the book was longer and she played hard to get for 5 minutes, then it would have been better.
Awful, awful, awful. I got it as part if a 12 book set. Shallow characters, no real plot development, really offensive language and sex scenes, and no real romance. I am by no means a prude and I like sex scenes in the romance books I read, but the writing and language in this book were, honestly, disgusting. Crude slang terms for body parts, beyond-crude dialogue and wholly unlikeable characters. Yuck. The main female character is, as she calls herself, a "fat girl." This whole believing-herself-to-be-unworthy because of her size gets her into several demeaning situations. She doesn't value herself at all. After the first 30 or so pages, I just couldn't believe how bad it was and skimmed the rest as fast as I could, to see if perhaps it might get better. It didn't.
Definitely not up to par with the other books I've read so far in this set, and I will not be reading anything this from this author again. I'd like to wash my brain out in hopes of getting this book erased from my memory.
Rock & Roll Curves is a very interesting story to say the least. I can't say that this is the type of book I would want to read all the time and I know this is not the type of sexual torture I would like to call fun. To me it just seems sad, that is just me.
Why I am giving this a three star is because of the back story to this book. I like that feelings and emotions it gives to the story of Darcy and Gage. Gage is this new up and coming star on the rock and roll scene. They meet when he has come to play at the bar she is working at as a bartender. Darcy is a full figured lady and thinks that if he is going to notice anyone it will be her best friend Tiff. But when Gage sees her and wants her she finds it hard to believe and goes with him with a little talking from Tiff.
When they get to her car and are driving Gage is very clear on what he wants and it is not really dinner but it is her and in every position that they can think of. So, with little thought she says okay. After a night of some hard core bondage (at least for me it was) they eat, talk & sleep. She wakes up the next morning to find him gone. Now she is left with her feelings and not much more. What happens from here is what you get to find out.
I don't know I was left feeling like this was just not me at all. The sex was way too intense for me, the emotions were worth it, but the outcome left me cold at the end. So, for me it was not one that I would continue with the series. Was part of the Rockstar Romance Box set provided by netgalley.com.
I am reading this in the Rock Star Romance boxed set of 12 stories that is 99 cents for a limited time. This is a great short story. Darcy sees herself as fat while her best friend Tiffany has the perfect body. They both work in a bar that showcases rock and roll bands. Darcy has loved Gage Tucker, lead singer of Dark Fire Love for years. His band shows up at the bar and after the show he comes up to the bar and ask for shots and then he ask Darcy if she is busy after work. Darcy thinks he is talking to Tiffany, because lets face it, Tiffany is ever mans dream. Well not Gage's dream woman. Read it to find out what happens between Darcy & Gage. You will enjoy it, just like did. Great job D.H. Cameron, looking forward to reading more from her.
i loved every bit of it except that it was too short. I would have loved for it to have continued.
I enjoyed this short story. The sex was good. The storyline was good but it just ended to quickly. Hopefully there will be more from Gage and Darcy.
