Weekend??

When did it happen?!!!

One blink of an eye and my weekend was gone!! Evaporated like some cheap trick magic... Bummer!! Everything will start all over again tomorrow morning, 9 a.m. sharp...

We decided to end the week by watching movie together, all six of us, which is unbelievable unless the electricity is off... So, Maggie, Cindy, Fenny, and I squeezed together in one sofa, May went solo, and Joel on the godfather chair, and we watched The Eye 10!! You heard me... And it was my idea!! Hah!! Jenn, who swore never again to watch a horror movie...

I remember watching this movie last year in Izham's Raya open house, squeezing my eyes as tight as I could, tried to see and to hear as little as my senses could possibly allow... I don't remember much of it, but I do remember I screamed like Joel... Hah!

But it was fun and scary at the same time... Then we cooled it off with bottles of Buddy and watched a rerun of Naked Gun, played tai ti, made out with each other, and went to bed...

So there go my weekend... Tomorrow had early class, planned to check with a doctor regarding my ears, and meet someone from "Attendance Monitoring Team"... Yeah, I can't believe I get a warning regarding my attendance, again!! It's like a deja vu from Taylor's... Ma kao fan!! And what kind of department is that?? "Attendance Monitoring Team"... Sounds like they picked the name from a mamasak session...

Anyway, gotta sleep... If not I'll get into trouble for not attending classes again...

Our New Office

Welcome to our production office!

You see our digital producers are working extremely hard to nail the deadline on this coming Friday...

Therefore, everyone is forced to dine on the coffee table, because the dining table has already been covered with cigarette ashes, papers, chocolates, cables, and coffee mugs...

Well, it's better than working alone in our own rooms... We can smoke, eat, and chat all we want in here... The smoke detector on the ceiling is very easy to ignore... Besides, it feels totally cool and so "agency-like"... Hah!

Although I'm really looking forward for Friday to come, the presentation has killed all my jolly feeling... I'm on the verge of nervous breakdown now... Well, it's my first presentation since I joined Northumbria, and I have no idea of their expectation... Urgh!

Anyway, back to work!
I love my office~! It makes me feel so semangat!

P.S.: Let me take this time to send my condolence to a friend who has recently lost his father... It's a very sad and tough time, but I pray that you and your family will get through it...

Anyway, it was a girls night out, since the only boy in our house had menstrual cramp... So, Maria, Luisa, Elaine, Emily, and Bella went to O2 Academy to meet the rest of Newcastle's weird creatures...

Gotta say, O2 Academy knows how to throw an awesome party!! Come on, tell me the last time you've been to a club that plays Blondie, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, etc.!! Definitely going back the next time...

Anyway, I missed the trick-or-treat kids... They rang our doorbell, but it took us too long to grab our chocolates and they left! Dammit!

Breaking Football Fast

After nearly a decade quit watching football games, I decided that maybe it's time to get back on the horse... Yeah, I'm in England... Why not? So Joel, May, Fei Yee, Cindy, and I went to watch Arsenal Vs. Liverpool match at Habita tonight...

And Liverpool lost 2-1...

Wasted 1 hour walking in the cold night to and fro from uni... Cibai! The bright side is, I gave the guy who sat beside me during the game an express lesson in mastering Malaysian's swear words... He went straight to Phd level... Congrats!

Hah! Love Barney! I've been blogging more often lately, haven't I? Even at 1.57 a.m., even though my class starts at 9 a.m. later... Semangat!! Haha...

Anyway, we were having a blast last Saturday at home... Too bad I'll break the "bro code" if I ever talk about it... Let's just say it involved a lot of Smirnoff shots and many bottles of Budweisers...

We headed down to Tynemouth this afternoon... Lovely weather, not! It was quite sunny, but half way in the metro, the weather PMS-ed again, and it all became dark and gloomy as usual... We went to the sea side, too lazy to even bother to walk along the coast... It was already dark even though it was only a little bit past 5 *I know!! Can you believe it?!*... So we just headed down to a bar and had our dinner...
Pffft, the beach here couldn't even begin to excite me... In my mind, beach is like breezy, moisty, and warm as opposed to ice-cold wind blowing me away and piercing through my soul... But it's very novelty though, with castle and high cliff... How convenient these things are for their lunatic royalty...

My camera is downstairs... I'm too cold and lazy to climb down gazillion of stairs... I'll upload the pictures tomorrow... No promise though...

Well, the main reason I blog today is not to report about the Tynemouth trip... But I came across a SHOCKING *yes, shocking* discovery about Tanya Chua's new song "红色高跟鞋" (Red High Heels)... I've heard it several times and it sounds familiar, but I just couldn't point out which song...

Then Maggie mentioned the similarity of "越来越不懂" and "Gotta Have You" by The Weepies *note to Uncle Tan: It's the "no no no no" song that I always play*... It does sound similar, but I doubted that it was intentional... But "红色高跟鞋" and "Take It From Me" (again by The Weepies) is wayyyyy to similar, even both of the lyrics are talking about the same thing... Yikessss!!! Turn off!!! Even though both of them are my favourite singers, it's still disappointing to discover that Tanya Chua downgraded herself in that way...

Urghhh... Dammit!

Quiet Weekend

Hah! Finally after 2 weeks in a row I didn't wake up with a weekend-hangover!! I've decided to have a quiet weekend while waiting for my body to get back my immunity... It's either that or, well, last week "You-Know-What" is still haunting me, and whenever I think of the name or the taste, I feel like vomiting again... Oh yeah, it was THAT bad... I couldn't stop vomiting until the next afternoon...

Anyway, lots of crazy stuffs happened last weekend, most of them I regretted of *cough* *cough*... So, this weekend I'm going to slack off in my cold sofa, drinking hot tea, and watching X-Factor... I know I sound like a 65 years old spinster minus a dozen of cats... Hah! Hey, my body needs rest... And I need to catch up with 2 projects... Ughhh!

Oh, the city has turned orange-ish now... Lovely... And no, I haven't taken any pictures of it... Will do if I ever find the strength to step outside my little red door...

Oh Rainy Days!

It's gloomy, wet, and it makes the chilly autumn in Newcastle even more unbearable... I can't even begin to express how much I miss my tropical home...

The cold is every-fucking-where and it's not like I have any place to escape it... Arghhh! It's even in my body... Yes, people... I've caught the cold, and chesty cough, and also a headache the size of my house... So bloody lazy to cycle to uni...

I miss my tank tops and shorts... Hikz... And mango-flavoured ice cream!
